Damage Protection & FAQ

Racing has risk. We'd rather explain exactly how we handle it before you sign anything.

Nobody enjoys this conversation, which is exactly why most companies bury it. We put it on its own page.

The short version: we offer damage protection packages that cap your financial exposure, and we walk through the numbers with you on the phone before you commit.

Not sure where you fit yet? Start with our full guide to grassroots racing and how to get into amateur motorsports.

01

Capped exposure

Protection packages limit what you're responsible for in an incident.

02

No surprises

We review the terms with you verbally, not just in a PDF.

03

Judgment matters

We coach conservatively. Bringing the car home is always the plan.

How protection works

Coverage levels vary by car, event type, and whether you're in HPDE or wheel-to-wheel competition. Higher-risk formats carry higher caps. Rather than post numbers that may not apply to your weekend, we quote them directly — call us and we'll walk through it in five minutes.

Common questions

  • Contact damage in a race is treated differently than an off-track excursion
  • Consumables — tires, brakes, fuel — are separate from damage and quoted up front
  • We inspect the car with you before and after your sessions
  • If something on the car fails through no fault of yours, that's on us, not you

Our approach to incidents

If something goes wrong, tell us immediately. We'd rather hear it from you first, on the radio, than find it during teardown. Nobody at GGS is going to yell at you for an honest mistake — we've all made them.

Common Questions

Straight answers.

Does my personal auto insurance cover this?

Almost certainly not. Track and competition use is excluded from nearly every personal policy.

Is protection required?

Requirements depend on the car and event. We'll tell you clearly when you book.

What happens if the car breaks and I lose track time?

We'll work with you on a fair resolution. That's a conversation, not a clause.

Talk to a racer, not a call center.

Phone is the fastest way to get real answers about dates, cars, and what actually fits your goals. Prefer to type? The form works too.

Built by racers. Run by racers.
